Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson Get Wet On 'Catching Fire' Set

Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson hit the waves this week in Hawaii. No, the co-stars were not on some kind of vacation. Instead, they were on the island to film the latest scenes for the second film in the series.

Check out photos of Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson on the "Catching Fire" set!

Both the actors were spotted on set Monday donning matching gray and black wet suits, prepping scenes for the latest round of the "Hunger Games." Lawrence jumped into the water (perhaps as the tributes are being taken into the arena for the Quarter Quell). Meanwhile, Peeta himself chatted in the water with someone who closely resembles co-star Liam Hemsworth. As it goes, both Peeta and Katniss must compete again after surviving the previous games as dictated by the Capitol.

In other set photos, Lawrence was spotted wielding a bow and arrow, her character's weapon of choice, and hanging out with co-stars Sam Claflin and Lynn Cohen, who play Finnick and Mags, respectively. They too were all also wearing the same wet suits.

Filming for the November22, 2013 release began back in September. The actors hit the set in Atlanta, Georgia before they embarked on taking the Games to Hawaii this week. And, if fans think that the set photos look pretty epic, Hutcherson promises that those arena scenes will look even more dazzling when they hit the big screen next fall.

"They're shooting, I think, all the stuff in the arena is going to be IMAX," Hutcherson said when he stopped by MTV News' headquarters before heading to Hawaii. "So when you go see it in IMAX, you'll see the regular movie when we're in the Districts and in the Capitol. When you see us go up in the pod in the games, it will open up into IMAX. It will be amazing. It's very cool."

And it seems that Hutcherson is impressed by all the hard work the crew has put into filming the blockbuster so far. He added, "They actually built a cornucopia in Atlanta that we shot at, and it looks amazing, and the way that the spokes got out, and the way everyone comes up on the pedestals and the water — it looks incredible. I've seen some of the CG renderings that [director] Francis [Lawrence] has worked on, and they look really, really great."
