Leonardo DiCaprio, Anne Hathaway 'Honored' By Golden Globe Nods

With the Golden Globe nominations announced early Thursday morning (December 13), we've had some time to think them over and put together a list of this year's winners, losers and shockers as well as bask in the very excited glow from the enthusiastic and grateful reactions from nominees like Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lawrence. And the happy exclamations just keep pouring in. "What a great way to wake up!" said "Les Miserables" actor Anne Hathaway in a statement, speaking to her nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture. "I couldn't be happier or more grateful for this news. Congratulations to Hugh (Jackman) and everyone who worked on Les Miz for their contribution to the best picture nomination!!!" Leonardo DiCaprio was especially happy to be nominated in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role category alongside his "Django Unchained" co-star Christoph Waltz. "I'm truly honored to be nominated by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association today," he said in a statement. " 'Django Unchained' was a remarkable experience and I consider myself lucky to work with Quentin and the entire cast on the film. I'm particularly proud to be named alongside my fellow 'Django' nominees." The cast and crew of the critically lauded thriller "Zero Dark Thirty" also weighed in with proud, honored thanks. " 'Zero Dark Thirty' is a film that I am extremely proud of and it's a tremendous honor to be recognized by the HFPA," said Jessica Chastain, nominated in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture category. "I am so thankful for this nomination. I am elated to see our fearless producer Megan Ellison, our brilliant director Kathryn Bigelow, our wonderful screenwriter Mark Boal and this extraordinary film being honored today. I'm so proud and honored to play this exceptional woman." Speaking on behalf of another highly-lauded 2012 film, "Argo," director/producer/actor Ben Affleck celebrated his film's real-life heroes for making the movie possible. "I want to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for honoring 'Argo' with five nominations," Affleck said in a statement. "These nominations reflect the courage and determination of real life heroes in the U.S., Canada, Iran and across the globe." The film's co-star Arkin also expressed his thanks via a humble message of respect for his fellow nominees in the Supporting Actor category. "I am deeply grateful for this honor and particularly moved in being in the company of Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Tommy Lee Jones who I deeply admire,' Arkin said in a statement. "I am also thrilled that Ben is getting the attention he so much deserves, as is 'Argo.' " One film that received a pleasantly surprising amount of attention from the HFPA is "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen," which received a Best Picture nomination and two acting nods for its stars. "Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press for this nomination. It's wonderful that our movie left its mark," said Ewan McGregor of the Best Performance by an Actor in a Musical or Comedy nomination. And lest you think that only the film actors are happy with their Globe nominations, there has been plenty of love continuing to pour out from the nominees in the world of television.
